Brief Description

The remains of Craigie Castle stand on a grassy mound in open countryside.

History

The original tower house dates from the 12th or 13th century. In the mid-16th century a large impaled and wooded park was associated with the house. The house and landscape declined after this, when the family moved to Craigie House.
